Annai Arul hospital conducted an Antibiotic Resistance Awareness Program from 21^st Nov till 25^th Nov 2019. Various activities were conducted to spread the awareness among the staffs, consultants and the general public. Poster and Quiz Competitions were conducted for all clinical staffs which were judged by Chief Guest Dr. Arul Mozhi Mangai from Cauvery Hospital, Dr.Varun Consultant Internal Medicine and Dr. Shiny John Consultant Microbiologist from Annai Arul Hospital. Winners were awarded with surprise gifts.

On 22^nd Nov, Continuing Medical Education programme was conducted for the consultants on Antimicrobial Resistance where Consultant Infectious Disease Dr.Vidyalakshmi presented on ” Antibiotics – What can we do to save them? ” followed by a healthy discussion with the surgeons and consultant.

On 25^th Nov, Awareness talk was conducted for all walk-in patients in the Out Patient area. Informative facts were shared by Dr.Varun about the risk involved during misusing and overusing of Antibiotics, the emergence of antibiotic resistance and how we can help prevent it. Handouts describing in details about the facts was circulated amongst the public during the talk.

On 14th of Sep 2019, Annai Arul hospital celebrated Founder’s Day the birthday of Chairman Mr. J. Selvam and the celebration for achieving NABH accreditation. Staffs and Consultants were invited along with their family members for the celebration that was filled with loads of entertainment. Staffs from various departments shared their experience in the organization and their journey towards the NABH achievement. Employees were recognized for their best performance as a fresher, as a team leader, for good attendance record, for their classic performance and classic care and for good scores achieved in performance appraisal in the year 2017-18 and 2018-19. Trophies and certificates were given out to employees and award of appreciation as a token of gratitude was given to the NABH consultants by the chairman Mr.J. Selvam and Medical Director Dr.S. Joseph Jensingh Babu. Every attendees of the program enjoyed the day with the feel of triumph and a content heart that was filled by a lip-smacking dinner.

Annai Arul Hospital organized breastfeeding awareness programme on 24th Aug 2019.

The motive of the program was to create the importance of breastfeeding and emphasizing the health benefits.

Five best moms who had exclusively breastfed their babies were invited as chief guest for the program.

Annai Arul hospital organized an oral hygiene awareness programme for dialysis patients on Aug 11th 2019.  Dr. Venkatesh, Consultant Nephrologist and Dr. Senthil Kumar Consultant endodontist gave a talk about oral health and hygiene and the importance of it for a dialysis patient. Both attenders and patients took part in the dental screening programme that was conducted after the awareness talk for Oral Health.
