Annai Arul Hospital conducted a CME on Current concepts in Oncology on 28th Feb 2020. Consultant Medical Oncologist Dr. V .M.Durai Mavalavan MD.,DM. presented the topic on “An overview of targeted therapies “, Consultant Surgical Oncologist Dr.P.Saravanan DNB.,MRCS.,Mch presented  about ” Breast Conservation Surgeries – Current Perspectives “, and Consultant Radiation Oncologist Dr.V.Balasundaram MD presented  about ” Recent advances in Radiation Oncology”. Practitioners and consultants participated in the CME Programme.

Annai Arul hospital successfully completed 6 years of trusted care. The 6th anniversary celebration started from 6th of Jan 2020 with various events for the staffs. Every medical and non-medical staffs and consultants enthusiastically participated in the sports events like shot put, tug of war, throw ball, shuttle, relay and games like dog and the bone, lemon and the spoon, needle and thread and filling the bottle with water. Cultural events were conducted from 1st Feb till 7th Feb 2020 with a gala celebration and lip smacking dinner. Events like dance competition, group singing, comedy mime, cooking and fashion show were organized and staffs participated passionately and showcased their creative calibre. Special thanks to our Chief guests Mr. YO YO Emcee entertainer, Ms. Priya founder of priya kalashetra, Vijay Super singer fame Mr. John Vianni, Mr. Christopher Prasad music director cum composer and owner of Rio Productions, KPY Fame Naveen, Hello FM Senthil Kumar, Chef Suresh Kanna – Chief Chef in-charge for Indian cricket team, Chef Arutselvan, Sri Devi founder and director of Devriksha school of acting, Maya Devi – Model in the fashion industry and Raati song fame.
7th Feb 2020 ended with the final celebration and prize distribution and staffs who had completed 5 years of selfless service at the hospital were recognized and awarded with gifts, certificate and trophy.

Annai Arul hospital conducted an Antibiotic Resistance Awareness Program from 21^st Nov till 25^th Nov 2019. Various activities were conducted to spread the awareness among the staffs, consultants and the general public. Poster and Quiz Competitions were conducted for all clinical staffs which were judged by Chief Guest Dr. Arul Mozhi Mangai from Cauvery Hospital, Dr.Varun Consultant Internal Medicine and Dr. Shiny John Consultant Microbiologist from Annai Arul Hospital. Winners were awarded with surprise gifts.

On 22^nd Nov, Continuing Medical Education programme was conducted for the consultants on Antimicrobial Resistance where Consultant Infectious Disease Dr.Vidyalakshmi presented on ” Antibiotics – What can we do to save them? ” followed by a healthy discussion with the surgeons and consultant.

On 25^th Nov, Awareness talk was conducted for all walk-in patients in the Out Patient area. Informative facts were shared by Dr.Varun about the risk involved during misusing and overusing of Antibiotics, the emergence of antibiotic resistance and how we can help prevent it. Handouts describing in details about the facts was circulated amongst the public during the talk.

On 14th of Sep 2019, Annai Arul hospital celebrated Founder’s Day the birthday of Chairman Mr. J. Selvam and the celebration for achieving NABH accreditation. Staffs and Consultants were invited along with their family members for the celebration that was filled with loads of entertainment. Staffs from various departments shared their experience in the organization and their journey towards the NABH achievement. Employees were recognized for their best performance as a fresher, as a team leader, for good attendance record, for their classic performance and classic care and for good scores achieved in performance appraisal in the year 2017-18 and 2018-19. Trophies and certificates were given out to employees and award of appreciation as a token of gratitude was given to the NABH consultants by the chairman Mr.J. Selvam and Medical Director Dr.S. Joseph Jensingh Babu. Every attendees of the program enjoyed the day with the feel of triumph and a content heart that was filled by a lip-smacking dinner.
