MENTAL HEALTH IS HEALTH

You wouldn’t tell someone with a physical illness to “just be strong.”

Mental health deserves the same care, compassion and understanding.

Struggling is not weakness.

Asking for help is not failure.

1,70,746 suicide deaths were recorded in India in 2024.

**SOMETIMES, “I’M FINE”

DOESN’T MEAN “I’M OKAY.”**

NOTICE.

See the signs.

ASK.

“How are you really doing?”

LISTEN.

Without judgment.

CONNECT.

Help them find support.

One conversation can make a difference.

**LESS JUDGMENT.

MORE UNDERSTANDING.**

Instead of:

❌ “Just think positive.”

❌ “Others have it worse.”

Say:

💬 “I’m here to listen.”

💬 “You’re not alone.”

You don’t need perfect words.

Just be present.

**YOU DON’T HAVE TO FIX IT.

JUST DON’T IGNORE IT.**

Stay.

Listen.

Take them seriously.

Help them seek support.

Your presence can be the beginning of hope.

**LET’S MAKE IT SAFE

TO SAY, “I’M NOT OKAY.”**

Listen. Support. Don’t judge.

Notice someone struggling?

Reach out. Start the conversation.

**MORE COMPASSION.

LESS STIGMA.**

Start the conversation.

Save a life.

What if you don’t need the right words to support someone struggling with their mental health?

You don’t need to fix everything.

Swipe to discover simple ways to be there for someone who needs you

You Don’t Have to Have All the Answers 💛

When someone is struggling with their mental health, you may not know what to say or do.

That’s okay. You don’t have to fix them. You just have to show up.

Listen. Don’t Try to Fix. 👂

Sometimes, people need to be heard—not advised.

  • Listen without interrupting
    • Avoid rushing to solutions
    • Say: “I’m here. I’m listening.”
    • Say: “That sounds really hard.”

Your presence can be powerful.

 Gently Encourage Help 🤝

If they’re struggling, remind them that asking for help is a strength—not a weakness.

Encourage professional support and, if they’re comfortable, help them take that first step.

You can walk beside them without walking their journey for them.

Be There in Small Ways 💙

Support doesn’t always need big gestures.

Check in. Sit with them. Help with an appointment. Send a message.

Small, consistent acts of care can remind someone:

“You’re not alone.”

 Respect. Don’t Pressure. 🔒

Let them open up at their own pace.

  • Respect their boundaries
    • Don’t force conversations
    • Protect their privacy
    • Be patient with their ups and downs

Healing isn’t linear. Your patience matters.

 Learn. Listen. Be Present. 🌱

You don’t need to be an expert to make a difference.

Learn more. Challenge assumptions. Lead with empathy.

And remember:

You don’t have to fix everything.
Sometimes, simply being there can mean everything.
